2023 Scholarship Awards

On June 6, 2023, at the Crook County High School Scholarship & Awards Night, Crook County Foundation Executive Director Rebekah Lambert presented the Foundation’s scholarship awards for the upcoming 2023-24 academic year. “We have the privilege of managing scholarships on behalf of many community members, businesses, and organizations. With heartfelt thanks to these wonderful people and to our scholarship committee volunteers, in 2023 the Crook County Foundation awards 51 scholarships to current and former Crook County graduating students, totaling nearly $102,000.”

The Foundation’s scholarship portfolio was launched by founding board member Paul Rowan who made a generous gift to fund a scholarship in 1998. Since then, the program has grown to include 23 scholarship funds, supporting graduating high school seniors and others continuing their studies at community colleges, vocational schools, and universities, in fields as diverse as diesel mechanics, music, medicine, engineering, theology, history, and agricultural business.
