CROOK COUNTY CULTURAL COALITION
A Fiscal Sponsorship of the Crook County Foundation
2024 Grant Applications are now available.
Each year the Oregon Cultural Trust contributes funds to Crook County to support local arts and culture activities. These funds are awarded through a grant selection process by the Crook County Cultural Coalition, a fiscal sponsorship of the Crook County Foundation.
The Cultural Coalition board is an all volunteer group of community members who have a passion and desire to see arts and cultural activities grow in Crook County.

2024 Grant Applications are due by November 17, 2023.
Funding decisions will be made by December 31, 2023.

In 2022, $10,200 was awarded to the following projects:

Crook County Fairgrounds - $2,500.00
For a new project called "Bacon Buddies," to give kids with disabilities the opportunity to show an animal at the fair, providing an opportunity to learn about and experience Crook County's culture of agriculture and ranching.

Crook County Foundation, Picnic In The Park - $4,000.00
For a series of high quality, entertaining free summer concerts in Pioneer Park including a wide variety of cultural experiences as well as diverse genres, Wednesday evenings in July and August.
Crook County Library - $500.00
For a series of lecture-based informational programs by presenters representing Native tribes. Possible topics include Indian boarding schools, storytelling and oral histories/oral traditions, and traditional art specific to the cultural heritage of Oregon tribes.

Grimes Christmas Scene - $3,200.00
For improvements to the Crook County Fairgrounds' Pioneer Hall to improve guest safety and increase capacity and engagement in a unique cultural attraction in its 84th year of serving Crook County.
