Crook County Foundation brings people, resources, and inspiration together for the enrichment of the Community
30 Days of Neighborliness
August 30 - September 28, 2022
"A good neighbor - a found treasure."
~ Chinese proverb
In recognition of National Good Neighbor Day on September 28, 2022, the Crook County Foundation launched its 30 Days of Neighborliness to encourage people to expand the friendly and welcoming nature in Crook County through simple acts of neighborly kindness.
Between August 30-September 28, the Crook County Foundation urged our neighbors here in Crook County to become even better neighbors.
Crook County Foundation Leadership Committee Chair Patti Norris suggests
“an introduction and a handshake, baking a special treat for a new neighbor or an old friend,
or inviting someone on a walk. These sociable acts are not extravagant and
they do not need to take much time – they are simply no-strings-attached positive acts
towards others in our community.”
During 30 Days of Neighborliness, the Crook County Foundation recognizes the good neighbors who make a difference every day in our community. Acts of neighborliness are highlighted in the fall, and all nominations are included in a drawing for local gift cards and treats at the end of the initiative.
